Sinopsis / Synopsis

Between July 2nd 1952 and April 7th 1953, the painter Ramón Gaya paid several visits to Venice and during that time made a number of notes in his Diary. Almost forty years later, in 1990, in Murcia, Gaya read to a group of friends a selection of those notes which he had included in his book Diary of a Painter, published in 1984 by the Pre-Textos publishing company. The origins of this documentary lie in that moving occasion in 1990, in the admiration felt for Gaya’s ideas and for that mysterious city that “is not just a city, a place, but… an existence”.
