Sinopsis / Synopsis

En 2010 la tierra sacudió Haití con un terremoto, convirtiendo al país más pobre de América en escombros. Un equipo de bomberos de Castilla y León, acompañados del perro de rescate “Turco”, protagonizaron uno de los rescates más mediáticos: el pequeño Redjeson, de dos años, fue desenterrado 48 horas después del seísmo, convirtiéndose así en un símbolo para la esperanza. Un año después de la tragedia, tres bomberos españoles deciden finalmente regresar a Haití para buscar a Redjeson… y también a Gaelle.

In 2010 an earthquake shooked Haiti, reducing the poorest country in America to rubble. A team of Spanish firefighters, accompanied by the rescue dog “Turco” became the protagonists of one of the most media rescue: two years old Redjeson, was found alife 48 hours after the earthquake, becoming a symbol of hope. One year after the tragedy, when the world seems to have forgotten about the little island, three Spanish firefighters decide to return to search for Redjeson and try to get their wounds to heal.

NATALIE J. HALLA (Linz, Austria, 18/11/1975) Se licenció en Derecho y en Traducción e Interpretación (ruso-español) en la universidad Karl Franzens, Graz (Austria). La pasión por el cine (y en especial por el formato del documental social) la llevó a realizar en 2005 su primer cortometraje “Soñé con tu vida”, seleccionado como finalista en varios festivales nacionales e internacionales. En 2010 hizo su debut como productora y realizadora de largometrajes con el documental “Madres de la droga”, que tuvo una excelente acogida por parte del público y de la crítica. “Y también Gaelle” (2011) es su segundo documental.

NATALIE J. HALLA (Linz, Austria, 11/18/1975) She earned a degree in Law and Translation (Russian-Spanish) from Karl Franzens University, Graz (Austria). She is a self-taught producer and director. Her passion for social documentary cinema inspired the creation of her first short movie “I dreamed about your life”, in 2005, which was selected as a finalist in several national and international short film festivals. Her debut as producer and director of feature films took place in 2010 with the documentary “Drugmothers”, which was well received by the audience and the critics. “Gaelle” (2011) is her second documentary.
