Sinopsis / Synopsis

Muina, la rabia que despierta, aquello que nos asusta…. y que nos atrae también. Miedo presente en cualquier parte, que nos persigue porque es parte de nosotros, así como el modo en que lo enfrentamos. Muina es también coraje. El suficiente para tocar el miedo con nuestras manos… hasta incluso acariciarlo.

Muina is the rage that fuels, what scares us.... and also attracts. Fear present anywhere that haunts us because it is part of us, as well as how we face it. Muina is also courage. Enough to touch the fear with our hands... to even cuddler it.

Biofilmografia / Biofilmography

JO GRAELL (Valencia) Licenciada en Psicología y cursos de doctorado en Pedagogía por la Universidad de Valencia. Estudió dirección cinematográfica en el Centro de Estudios Cinematográficos de Catalunya (CEEC) de Barcelona. En 1997 su serie "A través del cristal" fue galardonada con el primer premio en la segunda Bienal de Fotografía Europeo. Se mudó a Nueva York en 1999 para trabajar en cine experimental. En el año 2000 se trasladó a Berlín, donde trabajó como VJ y comenzó a dirigir proyecciones y videoclips para músicos, obras de teatro y colaboraciones con actores. Fue co -fundadora del Proyecto “Acústic moon club” y del grupo de proyección sonora “Apocalypsis Noise”, ambos en Berlín. En 2003 recibió el premio Tirant (Comunidad Valenciana ) por su vídeo experimental “Tres en Raya “. En 2001 realizó su primera película documental “Viaje al País de los Moluk” en Marruecos. Su segundo documental, “Odeon: El Tiempo Suspendido”, filmado en Bulgaria , ha ganado numerosos premios en festivales de cine de todo el mundo.

JO GRAELL (Valencia, SPAIN) Holding a BA in Psychology and a PHD courses in Pedagogy from The University of Valencia. She studied filmmaking at the Centre D'Estudis Cinematogràfics de Catalunya, (CEEC) in Barcelona. In 1997 she was awarded first prize at the 2nd European Photography Biennale for her series “Through the Glass”. She moved to New York in 1999 to work on experimental filmmaking. In 2000, she relocated to Berlin, where she worked as a VJ and began directing videos for musicians, actors and screenings. She co-founded the project “Acustic Moon Club” and the sound group “Apocalypsis Noise” both in Berlin. In 2003 she received the Tirant award for her experimental video “Tres en Raya”. She completed her first documentary film “Viaje al Pais de los Moluk” in Morocco in 2001. Her second documentary, “Odeon: El tiempo suspendido” has won numerous awards at film festivals around the world.
