Sinopsis / Synopsis

Una comunidad rural perdida en África con gentes que mueren por una terrible epidemia que no entienden. Un obispo de una secta local que ofrece soluciones leyendo un libro muy antiguo donde todo está escrito. Pobreza, ignorancia y fe: un cóctel descorazonador. Las flores de Sion.

A remote rural community in Africa where people die because of a terrible epidemic they don’t understand. A bishop of a local sect that offers solutions by redding a very ancient book where everything is written. Powerty, illiteracy and faith: a discouraging combination. Flowers of Zion.

Biofilmografia / Biofilmography

JOSU LARUNBE & DAVID MONCASI llevan más de una década trabajando juntos. Son autores de “Olvidados en el Sáhara”, “Todos a las urnas” y la “La epidemia silenciosa”, premio de la Academia de las Artes y la Televisión al Mejor Programa Documental de 2004. Han colaborado en el documental “La Muñeca del espacio” premiado en los festivales Documenta Madrid, NEFF y Diba de Barcelona en 2007. Actualmente preparan un nuevo proyecto conjunto.

JOSU LARUNBE & DAVID MONCASI have worked together for over ten years. They directed "Forgotten in the Sahara" and "The silent epidemic", which won the prize for Best Documentary in the Academy of the Arts & Television award in 2004. They collaborated in the documentary "The Space Doll", which won awards in Documenta Madrid, NEF and DIBA Barcelona in 2007. They are currently working on a new project.
