Si hay algo que nos une a todos, queramos o no, es la muerte. Accidente, enfermedad… Todos la conocemos. Primero indirectamente y, tarde o temprano, de manera directa.

If there is something that unites us all, like it or not, is death. Accident, sickness…We all know it. First indirectly and, sooner or later, directly.

Biofilmografia / Biofilmography

JULIA REBATO (Madrid, 28/12/1986) es directora, guionista, productora y actriz.  Cuando tuvo uso de razón decidió estudiar interpretación, pero aún no se sentía completa así que combinó la interpretación con la escritura de poemas, relatos y guiones. Todos ellos reflexionando sobre la vida, el amor, la traición y la muerte, temas recurrentes en su obra. Durante las prácticas de arte dramático descubrió el aspecto técnico de este mundo, algo que le apasionó tanto que comenzó a estudiar dirección y dejó aparcada la interpretación, pues lo que realmente le apasiona es contar historias. Entre sus obras como directora teatral se encuentra una versión libre de “Esperando a Godot” titulada:“Godot en el Congreso”. En el cine muestra obras de carácter más intimista y con pinceladas autobiográficas como sus cortometrajes “Solas” y “Después”.

JULIA REBATO (Madrid, Spain, 12/28/1986) is a director, screenwriter, producer and actress. Since she was a child she knew she wanted to study Drama, which she did, but after that she still felt incomplete. She decided to combine her Drama studies with the writing of poems, short stories and screenplays. All of them reflected on life, love, betrayal and death, recurrent themes in her work. During her drama practices she discovered the technical universe behind the acting, which thrilled her so much that she began to study Direction. She left the acting on hold because she realized that what really excited her was to tell stories. Among her works as theatre director there is a free version of "Waiting for Godot" titled "Godot en el congreso". In the cinema, she reveals herself more intimate and autobiographical, especially in her short films "Solos" and "Thereafter".
