Sinopsis / Synopsis

"A Common Enemy" es un documental en clave de thriller político sobre las primeras elecciones en Túnez después de la revolución de la Primavera Árabe, vistas a través de los ojos de los principales protagonistas de este evento histórico. La revolución es ahora un eco en sus mentes, según la sociedad del país es sacudida por cambios vertiginosos, especialmente según la victoria del partido islamista Ennahda se hace cada vez más y más probable.

“A Common Enemy” is a political documentary thriller based on the first ever free elections in Tunisia after the Arab Spring Revolution, seen through the eyes of the protagonists of this historical event. This revolution is now an echo in their minds, as impending changes will rapidly modify the country’s society, especially as the victory of Islamic political party EnNahda becomes more and more likely.

JAIME OTERO (Toronto, Canadá, 13/03/1983) Licenciado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas por la Universidad de Barcelona y Master en realización de Cine y HD por el Centro de Estudios del Vídeo de Madrid. En 2009 dirige y produce “Casta Nano. The New Indian Middle Class”, un documental rodado íntegramente en la India y premiado entre otros festivales en el We the People London Film Festival. Previamente había dirigido el cortometraje “La Caja” (2008) y el videoclip “Lluvia” (2008) para el grupo TCAP Leviatán. Entre sus créditos más recientes como productor figuran los largometrajes "Vampire in the Hole" (2011), “Vulnerables” (2012), así como los documentales “Gaitas, Jirafas y Pinos” (2011) y “Trinta Lumes” (2013). En 2012 dirige “A Common Enemy”, documental sobre las elecciones de Túnez, del que también es productor.

JAIME OTERO (Toronto, Canada, 13/03/1983) BA in Business Administration by the University of Barcelona and MA in Cinema and HD Filmmaking by the Centro de Estudios del Vídeo de Madrid. In 2009 he directs and produces the documentary film “Nano Caste. The New Indian Middle Class”, filmed entirely in India and awarded at the “We the People London Film Festival”. He had previously directed the short film “The Box” (2008) and the music video “Lluvia” (2008) by Hip-Hop and local star Eloi Yebra. His latest credits as executive producer include the feature-length films “The Vampire in the Hole” (2011) and “Vulnerable” (2011), as well as the documentary films “Bagpipes, Giraffes and Pines” (2011) and "Trinta Lumes" (2013)
