1608 is an artificial short film about the impact of the Italian painter Caravaggio. Speculating on the dramatic correlation between the old masters' work and actions. His misdemeanour and his genius find their reincarnation in the films two protagonists.

 JONAS VAHL (Berlín, ALEMANIA, 1990) Jonas siempre busca lo invisible en su trabajo. Su fascinación por los artefactos individuales y las ideas técnicas lo lleva a una variedad de trabajos que siempre son únicos y atractivos. Su fuerte enfoque visual y sus ideas poco convencionales, dan a sus películas un aspecto contemporáneo y estéticamente llamativo. Jonas Vahl se graduó en la Universidad de las Artes de Berlín y en la reconocida Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.

His fascination for single artifacts and technical ideas, leads to a range of work, that is always unique and compelling. His strong visual approach and his unconventional ideas, give his films a contemporary and aesthetically striking look. Jonas Vahl graduated from the Berlin University of the Arts and from the renowned Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.
