Sinopsis / Synopsis

Un viaje nocturno en ferry es el espacio elegido para explorar el sentimiento de vacio. En el bar Daniel empieza una conversación con Amir, pero Daniel no sólo busca una pequeña charla, busca algo más, algo mucho más personal.

Exploring feelings of emptiness, the film is set on a ferry during a night trip. At the bar, Daniel starts a conversation with Amir. But Daniel is not looking to make small talk. He is after something else from Amir, something entirely more personal.

MILAD ALAMI (Irán, 1982) Creció en Suecia y ahora vive en Dinamarca. Se graduó en Escuela Nacional de cine de Dinamarca en 2011. Sus películas han sido seleccionadas en la Quincena de Realizadores de Cannes, Clermont Ferrand, Karlovy Vary y muchos más. Tres de sus películas han sido nominadas para los Premios de la Academia de cine danesa. Su proyecto final de graduación, Nothing Can Touch Me fue seleccionado en 40 festivales internacionales y ganó 10 premios. AYGUL BAKANOVA (Bishkek , KIRGUISTÁN, 13/03/1982) En 2011 obtuvo un MA por la London Film School. Para su proyecto final escribió, dirigió y coprodujo el cortometraje The Song of The Rain situado en el Kirguistán rural. La película fue proyectada en varios festivales por todo el mundo, como Locarno y Clermont Ferrand. En 2014, Void fue estrenada en la Quincena de realizadores de Cannes. Aygul se encuentra desarrollando su primer largometraje Drifting Snows, un drama que contrasta el complejo contexto de la sociedad moderna de Kirguistán, por este proyecto fue seleccionada por la Residence of the Cannes Film Festival en Paris y el Jerusalem Film Lab.

MILAD ALAMI (Iran, 1982) grew up in Sweden and now live's in Denmark. He graduated from The National Film School of Denmark in 2011. His films have been selected to among others, Directors’ Fortnight, New York FF, Clermont Ferrand Short FF, Karlovy Vary Int. Film Festival and many more. Three of Alami's films have been nominated for the Danish Film Academy Awards, the counterpart of the Oscars and the Bafta Awards. In 2015 his short film Mommy won the best short film award at the Danish Film Academy Awards. He is currently in preproduction with his feature film, The Charmer."

AYGUL BAKANOVA (Bishkek, KYRGYZSTAN, 03/13/1982) In 2011 she received her MA degree from the London Film School. For her graduation project Aygul wrote, directed and co-produced a short film The Song of The Rain set in rural Kyrgyzstan. The film was has been screened at various film festivals around the world, including Locarno Film Festival and Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. In 2014 a short film Void, co-directed by Aygul in Denmark, had its premiere at Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes. Aygul is currently developing her first feature project Drifting Snows, a drama set against the complex backdrop of modern Kyrgyz society. With this project Aygul has been selected for the Residence of the Cannes Film Festival in Paris and Jerusalem Film Lab.
