Sinopsis / Synopsis

En medio del basurero gigante de Camones, situado en El Salvador, nace la historia de dos mujeres - Socorro y Colocha - que nos adentran en el mundo de la pobreza, la desigualdad, el machismo y la violencia de género pero, sobre todo, la dignidad, los valores y el coraje que ellas representan.

In the middle of a huge slum in Camones, located El Salvador, arise the story of two women -Socorro and Colocha - who allow us to enter their world, the world of poverty, of chauvism, of inequity and gender violence but, above all, that of women dignity, values and courage.

Biofilmografia / Biofilmography

FRANCISCO GUAITA (Madrid, 1978) es licenciado de la Universidad de Navarra en Comunicación Audiovisual. Trabajó un trienio en Antena 3, pero el periodismo independiente y el compromiso con los que no tienen voz, le movieron de la silla. En el 2002 dirigió su primer documental llamado “Cuba: habla el silencio”, exhibido en la Comisión de Derechos Humanos de la ONU. Ha sido corresponsal en Tegucigalpa, Tblisi, Washington, Malabo y San Salvador, en donde realizó su segundo documental sobre la dignidad de dos mujeres en medio de un basurero gigante. Actualmente, dirige un documental acerca de la Revolución Bolivariana de Venezuela.

FRANCISCO GUAITA (Madrid, 1978) has a bachelor in Audio-visual Communication in the Universidad de Navarra. Guaita worked for three years in Antena 3 TV, but the independent journalism and the commitment with the people who have no voice, provoke a change in his career. In 2002 directed his first documentary called “Cuba: the voice of silence”, exhibited in the Comission Of Human Rights ONU. Guaita has been correspondent in Tegucigalpa, Tbilisi, Washington, Malabo & San Salvador, where he realized his second documentary about the dignity of two women in the middle of a huge slum. Actually, he is directing a documentary about the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela.
