Ciudad de México, 1951. Luego de sintetizar la hormona sintética que originó la píldora anticonceptiva, el científico Luis Miramontes enfrenta las consecuencias religiosas, sociales y personales de su innovadora invención.

1951, Mexico City. After synthesizing the main component of the contraceptive pill, young scientist Luis Miramontes deals with the religious and personal consequences of his groundbreaking invention.

Rommel Villa es un escritor / director boliviano que creció produciendo obras de teatro premiadas basadas en temas sociales dentro de la comunidad latina. Ganador de un estipendio de dirección de Lionsgate-Televisa, Rommel tiene una licenciatura en ingeniería de sistemas y una maestría en producción de cine y televisión en la USC. En los últimos años, Rommel ganó un par de becas que financiaron su galardonada película de tesis LGBTQ+ Teddy Mate, y Sweet Potatoes, una película histórica que fue ganadora de los Premios Oscar Estudiantil 2020. Actualmente, Rommel está desarrollando una serie basada en Sweet Potatoes llamada Revolutionary Lives.

Rommel Villa is a Bolivian writer/director who grew up producing award-winning plays based on social issues within the Latinx community. Winner of a Directing stipend from Lionsgate-Televisa, Rommel has a degree in Systems Engineering and an MFA in Film/TV Production at USC. In the last few years, Rommel won a couple of grants which funded his award-winning LGBTQ+ thesis film Teddy Mate, and Sweet Potatoes, a historical film which is a Winner at the 2020 Student Academy Awards. Rommel is currently developing a series based on Sweet Potatoes called Revolutionary Lives.
