 EVA CONTIS (Nueva Orleans, EE. UU., 1968) Nacida y criada en el norte de California, trabajó en Los Ángeles como editora de cine y televisión para perfeccionar su oficio de narración visual. Su debut como directora, THE STAND se remonta a Shreveport y al Louisiana Film Prize, donde logró el "Top 5" y ganó una Beca del Círculo de Fundador. THE STAND se proyectó en numerosos festivales de cine, obtuvo el premio Oscar y consiguió distribución con Shorts International. También apareció en una publicación de cuatro páginas en American Cinematographer con el hermoso trabajo de cámara de Valentina Caniglia. Su película más reciente, BREASTS, tuvo una fuerte carrera en festivales que comenzó con un estreno en el Festival de Cine de Nueva Orleans antes de dirigirse al Festival de Cine de Austin para su estreno en Texas. Le atraen las historias que dan voz a las comunidades marginadas.

 EVA CONTIS (New Orleans, USA, 1968) Born and raised in Northern California, she worked in Los Angeles as a film and television editor to hone her craft of visual storytelling. Her directorial debut, THE STAND can be traced back to Shreveport and the Louisiana Film Prize, where it made the “Top 5” as well as winning a Founder’s Circle Grant. THE STAND screened at numerous film festivals, was Oscar-qualified and landed distribution with Shorts International. It was also featured in a four-page spread in American Cinematographer featuring Valentina Caniglia's beautiful camera work. Her most recent film, BREASTS, had a strong festival run that started with a premiere at the New Orleans Film Festival before heading to the Austin Film Festival for its Texas premiere. She is drawn to stories that give marginalized communities a voice.
