Sinopsis / Synopsis

“Paisajes interiores” cuenta la historia de la minería de El Bierzo en la provincia de León (España), narrada por tres generaciones de mineros pertenecientes a la misma familia. Estas tres personas nos introducen en el mundo del minero y su entorno recreando, mediante sus vivencias, recuerdos e impresiones, la identidad de un colectivo unido no sólo por una profesión, sino por una forma de vida.

“Interior landscapes” tells the story of mining industry in El Bierzo an area located in the Spanish province of León. Three generations of miners from the same family unfold the secrets of what it means to be a miner and live in a mining community. Through their memories, experiences and impressions we glimpse the reality of a group of people who share not only a job, but also a special way of life.

Biofilmografia / Biofilmography

GABRIEL FOLGADO (Albares de La Ribera, 1970) Es graduado en dirección de cine por la Universidad de León. En 2004 dirige su primer cortometraje: “ Vilapicardo”, al que seguirá “La Embajada Toscana” (2005), que recibe una mención especial en el Festival de Cine de Ponferrada, además de ser seleccionado para varios festivales nacionales e internacionales: Festival Internacional de Cine de Valladolid (SEMINCI), FESTCINE (con exhibiciones en New York, Los Angeles, Lisboa y Buenos Aires). Como docente ha ejercido en la Universidad de León. La película documental “PAISAJES INTERIORES” es su primer largometraje como director.

GABRIEL FOLGADO (Albares de La Ribera, 1970) He graduated in film direction from the University of León. In 2004 he directed “Vila picardo” his first short film, followed by “La Embajada Toscana” in 2005. This was awarded a special mention in the Ponferada Film Festival, as well as being selected for several national and international festivals, including the Valladolid International Film Festival(SEMINCI) and FESTCINE (Shown in New York, Los Angeles, Lisbon and Buenos Aires). Gabriel Folgado has also lectured at the University of León. “Paisajes Interiores” (Interior landscapes) is his first full length film as director.
