Sinopsis / Synopsis

Misbah nació en Barcelona. Es una estudiante universitaria de Ciencias Políticas y vive en el barrio del Raval. Sus padres son de Pakistán, donde solo estuvo una vez de visita cuando tenía un año. Ahora viaja por primera vez como adulta al país y se interroga sobre su identidad.

Misbah was born in Barcelona. She is a Political Science student and lives in Raval neighbourhood. Her parents are from Pakistan. She’s been only there once when she was one year old. Now she travels for the first time as an adult to Pakistan and reflects on her identity.

Biofilmografia / Biofilmography

Agus Morales (El Prat de Llobregat, ESPAÑA; 1983) es periodista y escritor. Dirige Revista 5W y es autor de No somos refugiados, libro recomendado para el Festival Gabo 2017. Su crónica Los muertos que me habitan ganó el premio Ortega y Gasset 2019. Fue corresponsal para la Agencia EFE en el Sur de Asia (2007-2012) y trabajó para Médicos Sin Fronteras siguiendo operaciones humanitarias en África y Oriente Medio durante tres años. Ha colaborado, entre otros medios, con The New York Times en Español. Se licenció en Periodismo y se doctoró en Lengua y Literatura por la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Fue profesor asociado en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Comunicación entre 2015 y 2017. Siempre navegando entre la literatura y el periodismo, ha escrito sobre la muerte de Osama bin Laden, la cultura india y la experiencia refugiada. Es guionista del corto documental "Damasco: El silencio de la guerra" dirigido por José Bautista.


Anna Surinyach (Barcelona, ESPAÑA1985) es fotógrafa documental y editora gráfica de la revista especializada en información internacional 5W. Estudió periodismo en la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona y fotografía en la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña. Su trabajo se ha centrado en documentar los movimientos de población en diferentes partes del mundo. Ha fotografiado la situación de las personas desplazadas en países como Sudán del Sur, República Centroafricana, Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Yemen y Siria. También ha documentado las rutas migratorias desde Centroamérica a Estados Unidos y desde África y Oriente Medio hacia Europa. Ha coordinado proyectos audiovisuales para Médicos Sin Fronteras, ONG con la que trabajó durante 6 años, Intermón Oxfam y Expertise France. Ha producido el corto documental "Damasco: El silencio de la guerra" dirigido por José Bautista.

His chronicle The dead that won me the Ortega y Gasset 2019 award. He was a correspondent for the EFE Agency in South Asia (2007-2012) and following for Doctors Without Borders following humanitarian operations in Africa and the Middle East for three years. He has collaborated, among other media, with The New York Times in Spanish. He graduated in Journalism and a Ph.D. in Language and Literature from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He was an associate professor at the Faculty of Communication Sciences between 2015 and 2017. He is always navigating between literature and journalism, written about the death of Osama bin Laden, Indian culture, and refugee experience. He is the screenwriter of the short documentary "Damascus: The Silence of War" directed by José Bautista.
