Año 1976. El Régimen Franquista sigue ocupando todos los órganos de poder. Repartir propaganda, reunirse sin autorización y participar en manifestaciones eran delitos muy graves. María es una de esas personas que luchan en la clandestinidad por la libertad y la democracia.

1976. Despite Franco's dead, all his collaborators continue in all the organs of public power. Handing propaganda, holding a meeting without permission and demonstrating are felony offenses. María is one of those who are fighting in clandestinity for freedom and democracy.

Biofilmografia / Biofilmography

ALBA MAR IZQUIERDO (Madrid, ESPAÑA, 1981). Estudia Comunicación Audiovisual en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y posteriormente el Máster en Dirección y Producción de Radio, Cine y TV en la Universidad Nacional de Panamá. Comienza a trabajar en televisión en 1996, dirigiendo reportajes sociales y educativos para el canal venezolano Vive TV. Posteriormente, dirige los documentales “Resistir en Colombia” y “Escaleras al Cielo” y viaja al Líbano para colaborar en el documental “Y Nada Más Importa” sobre refugiados palestinos. Tras sus trabajos en el mundo del documental, el cortometraje “La Noche de Paz” es su primera incursión en la ficción. Su claro compromiso social, político y por la defensa de los derechos humanos y de las mujeres quedan patentes en su nueva obra.

ALBA MAR IZQUIERDO (Madrid, SPAIN, 1981). She studies Audiovisual Communication in the Complutense University of Madrid and, later, a Master in Direction and Production of Radio, Films and TV in the National University of Panama. She starts working in television in 1996, directing social and educational documentaries for the Venezuelan channel Vive TV. After that, she directs the documentaries “Resisting in Colombia” and “Stairs to Heaven” and travels to Lebanon to collaborate in the documentary “And Nothing Else Matters”, about Palestinian refugees. After her works in the non fiction world, the shortfilm “The Silent Night” is her first incursion in fiction. Her clear social and political compromise and her defense for women and human rights take place in her new work.
