La existencia desencantada de una chica introvertida se ve removida al recibir una invitación a un recital de poesía. El encuentro con la figura más sabia y madura de la poeta le ayudará a dar un primer paso para salir de la depresión.

The disenchanted existence of an introverted girl is shaken when she receives an invitation to a poetry recital. Her encounter with the wiser and more mature figure of the poet will help her take a first step towards transcending her depression.

SOFÍA MARÁN (Madrid, ESPAÑA, 1995) es guionista y directora de cine. El fuego es su segundo cortometraje después de El agua (2021), actualmente en distribución con Films on the Road, que ha obtenido la mención especial del The Sanctuary International Film Festival y ha sido seleccionado por el Women’s Cinema Arts International Film Festival (WCAIFF). Actualmente está desarrollando un largometraje para la productora francesa Rockworld.

SOFÍA MARÁN (Madrid, SPAIN, 1995) is a screenwriter and director. Fire is her second short after Water (2021), currently in distribution with Films on the Road, which has obtained the Special Mention of The Sanctuary International Film Festival and has been selected by the Women’s Cinema Arts International Film Festival (WCAIFF). She is currently working on a feature film with the French production company Rockworld.
