Mila Vilaplana es una directora de orignen cubano que vive en Nashville, TN. Su ultimo proyecto de dirección, “ The Making” , fue hecho para el Festival de Cine de 48 horas en Nashville. En el cual gano 10 de las 16 categorias a las que estaba nominado, incluyendo “ Mejor Director”. El primer cortometraje de Mila, “Still Life”, fue elegido por los Independent Shorts Awards” como “ Mejor Suspenso” y “ Mejor Directora” en julio del 2023. Mila es fundadora y copropietaria de “DIPSOMANIA PRODUCTIONS”, la cual le ha servido como medio de exploración y aprendizaje del arte del cine.

Mila Vilaplana is a Cuban director living in Nashville, TN. After pursuing acting for most of her career , she has found a new passion in directing. Her latest directing project, "The Making," was for the Nashville 48hr Film Festival. It won 10 of the 16 categories it was nominated for, including "Best Director."  Mila's first short film, " Still Life", was picked by Independent Short Awards as "Best Thriller Short" and "Best female Director" in July 2023. Mila is founder and co-owner of "DIPSOMANIA PRODUCTIONS", which has served her as an outlet for exploration and learning of the media.
