Sinopsis / Synopsis

Lucía regresa al pueblo de su infancia para enterrar a su abuela y vender la tienda familiar. Allí se encuentra con viejos amigos, y descubre que todo sigue muy parecido a como lo dejó.

Lucia returns to the town of her childhood to bury her grandmother and sell the family shop. When she arrives she encounters various old friends, and finds everything still very much as she left it.

ELISA CEPEDAL (Asturias, 23/05/1982) Graduada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad del País Vasco y posteriormente en Cine por The London Film School. Su trabajo LA PLAYA (2010) se ha mostrado en festivales internacionales, como el BAFICI, Raindance, London Spanish Film Festival, Festival de Cine de Guadalajara ó Spanish Cinema Now, y fue nominado como Mejor Cortometraje y Mejor Fotografía en los Fuji Film Awards. En 2010 fue galardonada con el Primer Premio Nuevos Realizadores del Principado de Asturias en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón. Su último trabajo, AY PENA, ha sido seleccionado en Sección Oficial de dicho festival así como en el prestigioso New Directors/New Films organizado por el MoMA y la Film Society of the Lincoln Centre.

ELISA CEPEDAL (Asturias, Spain, 05/23/1982) Graduated in Fine Arts by the University of the Basque Country, and in filmmaking by The London Film School. Her graduation film LA PLAYA (2010) has been shown in respected festivals such as BAFICI, Raindance, London Spanish Film Festival or Guadalajara International Film Festival and was shortlisted for Fuji Shorts competition. In 2010 she was awarded with the first prize “New Asturian Filmmakers” at The Gijon International Film Festival. AY PENA (2011) is her latest work funded by the ICAA (Institute of Cinematographic Arts, Spanish Ministry of Culture) and has premiered at The Gijon International Film Festival in Official Selection. Lives and works in London.
