Sinopsis / Synopsis

Hanna reflexiona sobre sus dificultades cotidianas para conciliar una profesión artística que le apasiona con el cuidado de su hija Aava, a la que deja cada día con su suegra chilena, una mujer a la que admira profundamente pese a la falta de comunicación entre ambas.

Hanna reflects on her daily difficulties to balance a creative profession she loves with the care of her daughter Aava, that she leaves every day with her Chilean mother-in-law, a woman she deeply admires despite of the lack of communication between them.

ANDREA ZAPATA-GIRAU (Vigo, 26/11/1986) Estudia Guitarra Clásica en el conservatorio de su ciudad natal, dos años de Comunicación Audiovisual en la Universidad Pompeu Fabra y se gradúa en TAMK School of Art & Media (Finlandia) en la especialidad de Montaje. Completa su formación con cursos con artistas como Victor Erice y Randall Packer. Tras dirigir el festival “Kuubalaisen Elokuvan Päivät” y varios cortos, en 2013 estrena su primer largo, “Guitarra de palo”, proyectado en el Festival de Cine de La Habana y el teatro Symphony Space de NYC entre otros sitios. Radio3 la califica como “Una de las mejores películas musicales de todos los tiempos”.

ANDREA ZAPATA-GIRAU (Vigo, SPAIN, 11/26/1986) Studied Classical Guitar at the conservatory of her hometown, two years of Audiovisual Communication studies at Pompeu Fabra University and graduated from TAMK School of Art and Media (Finland) majoring in Film Editing. She completed her education with courses with artists like Victor Erice and Randall Packer. After directing the film festival “Kuubalaisen Elokuvan Päivät”, and several short films, in 2013 she premiered her first feature film, “Guitarra de Palo”, screened in Havana Film Festival and NYC’s Symphony Space Theater among other places. The National Radio of Spanish called it “One of the best music films ever made”.
