BEN WEST (AUSTRALIA, 1971). Este premiado director ha sido descrito como una mezcla entre Christopher Guest y Chris Cunningham. Su trabajo es una mezcla de maestría cinematográfica y dominio de los efectos especiales. Ben comenzó su carrera como arquitecto y su desarrollo de técnica innovadoras de efectos visuales le valió una beca European Junior Animator. En 2010, fue nominado a director animador del año por la Australian Directos Guild. Ha sido supervisor de efectos especiales en estudios premiados por la Academia de Cine estadounidense y tiene un Máster en Dirección en la Australian Film Television and Radio School. Su trabajo recientemente ganó el Grand Prix en Cannes, ha dirigido el anuncio de la Superbowl en 2015y ahora mismo está trabajando en el largometraje basado en su corto “Freaks”.

BEN WEST (AUSTRALIA, 1971). Award-winning filmmaker Ben West has been described as Christopher Guest meets Chris Cunningham. His work illustrates a mastery of filmmaking and visual effects. Ben started his career as an Architect. Developing cutting edge techniques for visual effects he won a European Junior Animator scholarship. In 2010, he was nominated by the Australian Directors Guild as animation director of the year. He has been visual effects supervisor at Academy Award winning studios and has a Masters in Directing at Australian Film Television and Radio school. His work recently won a Cannes Grand Prix, he directed the most watched Superbowl commercial in 2015 and is now working on a feature based on his short film, “Freaks”.
