A caravan of muleteers (Arrieros) and their mules crawl over the Colombian Andean Mountains. They come from the provinces of Caldas and Antioquia, some as old as 75 or 85, to retrace the steps of their ancestors over the trails and towns they founded. The arrieros carry a message of peace and reconciliation with the most authentic values of their culture. They recreate, for the first time, the great feat of the Antioquean settlers that made possible economic, social and cultural communication in the emerging Colombian nation, and its current configuration, overcoming its difficult geography.
